Double D Organics
In the mid-1990s, Double D Farms started growing organics, reflecting the burgeoning interest of owners Don and Elvia Devine in producing organic products. Thus was the creation of Devine Organics, a separate side of Double D solely focused on organic agriculture. With over 75 percent of the business now focused on organics, the identity of Devine Organics broadened and both company names have now combined into one - Double D Organic Farms.
Double D Organic Farms is one of the very few female lead produce companies in North America, and minority owned and led as well. At the age of 14 Elvia Devine moved to the US from Mexico, and now employs over 500 people throughout California, Sonora, and Baja. Elvia’s passion for great tasting, sustainable produce and her strategic vision for Double D Farms has seen her take a hands-on role across each stage of the business’ operations. From picking to packing and shipping, she is unerringly committed to giving everyone access to produce grown in a healthier and more sustainable manner.
