In 1915, the name Boskovich began when Stephen Boskovich, a young Croatian immigrant, began farming on seven acres of land in California’s San Fernando Valley. Today, four generations later, Boskovich Farms is still family owned and operated. They have 16,000 acres in California and Mexico, producing about 30 different vegetable crops year-round with shipping points in Salinas, California, and Yuma, Arizona.

Boskovich Farms started producing certified organic vegetables in 2011, and with the success of those organic programs have been using more sustainable farming practices in all of their production plans. They are keenly aware of the importance of crop rotation, drip irrigation, water conservation and efficient transportation methods for getting their harvests off the field.
